Check Point Research has released an initial analysis of the Pay2Key ransomware strain, which has been deployed against a large number of Israeli companies in recent days. The investigation so far indicates the attacker may have gained access to the organizations’ networks some time before the attack, but presented an ability to make a rapid move of spreading the ransomware within an hour to the entire network. The full scope of these attacks is still unraveling and is still under investigation.
