Potential APT31 Activity Against Political Targets

The Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution has knowledge that German public authorities could be the focus of cyber attacks by the APT31 group. The aim of this warning message is it to sensitize German bodies and to provide them with the necessary technical information provided in order to be able to detect a possible infection.
Cyber attacks by the APT31 group are currently directed against political targets in Western countries. This includes, for example, ministries and authorities, political organizations and foundations.
