An investigation by Wiz Threat Research has revealed that tens of thousands of websites in East Asia have been hijacked, redirecting users to adult-themed content over the last few months. In each case, the threat actor was injecting malicious code into customer-facing web pages and collecting information about visitors’ environments, and redirecting them to malicious sites.
