released on 2024-03-12 @ 02:53:22 PM
Ransomware activity remains high despite a slight decrease in claimed attacks in late 2023. Attackers quickly adapted to disruption, with vulnerability exploitation now the main infection vector. LockBit was the most prolific threat but Noberus was involved in more attacks investigated by Symantec, suggesting higher success rates. New tools like HopToDesk, TrueSightKiller and GhostDriver are being used alongside existing ones like AnyDesk and StealBit.
